Meet Dr. Spencer Rickers, DMD

How We Started
Dr. Rickers founded Comprehensive Sedation Dental to offer a different kind of experience—focused, peaceful, and results-driven. He is a general dentist skilled in extractions, implants, dentures, myofunctional therapy, and total smile restorations.
He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Utah Valley University before going on to graduate from the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health.
He followed this by attending the dental program at the A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona.
It was there that Dr. Rickers met British orthodontist, Dr. Mike Mew, whose trailblazing work in orthotropics made a lasting impact on him and his approach to dentistry going forward. Level 3 sedation certified, Dr. Rickers gained significant clinical experience from his time at the Texas Sedation Dental & Implant Center, and from his work as an extern in federally-qualified health centers abroad.
His care looks beyond teeth to the jaw, muscles, breathing, and habits that shape long-term health.
“I practice comprehensive dentistry. Helping you achieve and maintain oral health is about more than teeth—it’s also about the jaw, musculature, breathing, and the habits that led to problems in the first place. Mouth breathing and poor tongue posture can crowd teeth, misalign the bite, and inflame tonsils and adenoids. My job is to connect those dots and create a plan that lasts.”
